Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad
I eat. I cook. I travel. And I blog about it.
Veggie Garden Update 8/17/14
For the past month or so, almost every meal I had alternated between sting beans, tomatoes, and cucumbers. The garden is doing great this year and we have plenty of home grown goodness!
Other veggies growing in now are bitter melon, chinese okra, chinese fuzzy melons, bell pepppers, and beets.

Homegrown cucumbers taste so much better to me. Maybe because we eat them fresh, it has this incredible crunch! Tomatoes are growing in well and getting so big! I forgot which variety they were, maybe beef steak tomatoes or big boy. I can’t wait until they are nice and ripe and picking them off the vine to make a caprese salad. Mmm!

Veggies are growing really well. We have so much lettuce we are giving it away. Tomatoes are getting bigger and bigger. I’m so happy the cucumbers are also growing. We didnt get any cumcumbers last year due to too much rain and flooding. And we have string beans! Mom knows I love picking string beans and especially left them for me to harvest them this morning.
